The Geography of Tourists
Hey Guys,
This is my first blog post on a blog that will be full of travel hacks and tips. To start I'm goings to talk about where it all began. Tourists.
The Wikipedia dictionary definition of a Tourist is a person who travels for fun, and that is exactly what I hope this blog will be all about!

Tourism hit off in the 1900s when local people in different regions all over the world began to travel. As transport became better it made it easier for tourists to move from one place to another. Popular regions began to take advantage of people visiting their cities or towns by creating resorts.
Pros of Tourism:
> Provides local jobs
> Boosts the economy
> Resorts and businesses are created giving tourists and locals facilities they wouldn't have otherwise had.
Cons of Tourism:
> Tourism generally makes local places more expensive.
> An increases in littering causes an increase pollution.
> Local culture is changed.
*** Make sure if you're going on holidays you're respectful of local people and the surrounding area.
Keep tuned for my next post on the best ways to explore the world!
